Unlawful Termination, Damages and Compensation

Article 18 of the new 2011 Labour Organisation Law states that a labour organisation (trade union) ‘has the right to demand the relevant employer to re-appoint a worker if such worker is dismissed by the employer and if there is cause to believe that the reasons of such dismissal were based on labour organisation membership or activities, or were not in conformity with the labour laws’.
