More than 50 representatives from governments, civil society organisations (CSOs), recruitment agencies\u2019 associations from Cambodia and Vietnam, the embassies of the Republic of the Philippines and Japan in Phnom Penh, intergovernmental organisations, and international non-governmental organisations gathered to review research findings from MMN\u2019s publication <em><b>Navigating Social Security Systems: The Roles of Mekong Countries of Origin in Supporting Migrant Workers in Thailand and Japan<\/b><\/em><b>.<\/b> They also discussed Mekong migrant workers\u2019 knowledge of and access to the social security systems of Thailand and Japan, and the roles that countries of origin can play in safeguarding migrants\u2019 entitlements.<\/p>\n<p>[Check <a href=\"https:\/\/mekongmigration.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Proceedings-of-the-Third-Policy-Dialogue-on-ROCO-Final-Version.pdf\">here<\/a> to read the full proceedings]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; From 30 to 31 January 2024, the Mekong Migration Network (MMN) organised the Third Policy Dialogue on the Roles of Countries of Origin in Supporting Migrants\u2019 Access to Social Security in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
